about

Cacophonous violin and organ squall recorded on big amps in a small room. All from a single session in 2001 this was the 3rd PseudoArcana release and in some ways the one that brought the label into the public eye after Aquarius Records in San Francisco made it one of their albums of the week.
Theres virtually no editing at all- just a dodgy C60s worth of recording from a walkman sitting on a shelf. Most of the pieces have a kind of sublime beauty to them but I've always suspected that the albums appeal has generally been a result of its sheer perversity.

Street has been around since 1996 when Greg and Antony were young fans of Bruce Russells Xpressway label.. We are currently working on a release featuring recordings from the early years.
The latest LP, 'This is a Drug Town' was released on PseudoArcana in 2010, and whilst retaining a lo-fi freenoise aesthetic has periods of virtual shoegaze blissout..
The current live line up features the addition of Peter Wright on guitar and Rustle Covini on drums.
